We enjoyed just walking the streets of Bremen this morning. It wasn’t too busy early but we could see that the hoards were moving in pretty fast. The Town Square seemed to be the centre of attention. Adding to the excitement was fresh food market day, and right in the middle of everything they were setting up sound equipment and other paraphernalia for a big music extravaganza. So, moving right along we excused ourselves and left for quieter streets.
The Town Square is actually very impressive and part of it is UNESCO World Heritage listed. We will go back when there’s not so many people there. There are a lot of people around who are coughing and sputtering so we are cautious, without being paranoid.
After some more wandering we returned to the hotel for morning tea in the room, another strategy we have developed to avoid crowds.
The rest of the day was spent with more wandering and periodic rests back in the room. Wow, nearly a fair dinkum rest day, not quite.
